Connect To Our Future Open House Slated for January 29 at Statesville Civic Center

The population of Iredell County and the surrounding Charlotte region is expected to grow by 50 percent in 20 years and double within 40 years. How will the region handle that kind of dramatic growth? You can have a say.  Iredell County, the Town of Troutman and City of Statesville, in conjunction with Centralina Council of Governments, are hosting a drop-in open house for the Connect Our Future project on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at the Statesville Civic Center. Citizens can drop in between 4 and 7 p.m. at the Statesville Civic Center and give their thoughts on they consider the county's biggest challenges connected to growth. The open house aims to identify qualities and characteristics that each community values and wants to preserve for the future, as well as challenges the community and region face.
